Ross Simmonds Taylor Fry

Ross is based at Taylor Fry’s Wellington office, where he began in 2016. He has more than 20 years of actuarial experience in general insurance, across pricing, reserving, strategy and analytics.

Ross leads the external actuarial liabilities valuation of New Zealand’s Accident Compensation Corporation. He has developed pricing and natural perils models, undertaken competitor monitoring, and strategic portfolio reviews, and helped design new products and insurance offerings.

Ross is Past President of the New Zealand Society of Actuaries and regularly presents on issues affecting insurers and consumers in Australia and New Zealand. Before joining us, Ross led the personal lines pricing team for IAG NZ. He also held Appointed Actuary roles, and consulted with PwC and Aon Consulting in London, Auckland and Wellington.
